Venetian Blinds built into door and window units

Horizontal venetian blinds can be fitted between the panes of glass within a sealed unit.
This is an ideal way of cutting out direct sunlight from a room which may be south facing. The venetian blinds are maintenance free and never require cleaning. Venetian blinds be made to fit any size unit up to a maximum width of 1000mm. They come in various colours to match existing curtains or furnishings.
Applications can be in any window, residential doors, french doors, patio doors or conservatories.
They are operated by a pull cord system which is unobtrusive and is stuck or fixed to the glass panel so it does not 'flap' about and get caught on things when the windows or doors are left open.
The blinds that you see, were fitted into a set of patio doors in a block of flats on Bexhill sea front.

Bespoke designed toughened safety glass

This week we supplied single panes of toughened safety glass, decorated from pictures designed by the customer. They will be made up into sealed units with a choice of backing glass in our workshop.
The designs include aged leaded outlines, and aged and gold coloured lead for detail. The colours are a film which is inside the unit so they cannot be scratched.
The pictures were made up by our expert lead designer who specialise in glass and mirror design and we implemented those designs into our product.

Doors and Windows fitted to Robertsbridge College - School

We recently worked on Robertsbridge College / School
Doors
At Robertsbridge college, we were asked to fit white aluminium fire exit doors with a level threshold so wheelchairs and any equipment can be taken in and out without a trip hazard. Mid-rails were manufactured as part of the doors structural integrity for the door leaves, we fitted toughened anti-sun glass to the outside and 6.4mm clear laminated glass to the inside for added security. Thumb-turn cylinders were fitted for means of keyless escape. Automatic door closers that hold open at 90 degrees were also installed for further ease of moving equipment in and out of the gym. We advised that an aluminium fire exit door was used as aluminium is more durable than pvc - aluminium is more suited to doors in constant use in a commercial setting.

To the main gym hall in Robertsbridge, we fitted white pvc window frames in place of old perished metal frames. Toughened grey anti-sun glass was fitted as a protection from bright sunlight. We also installed 6.4mm clear laminated glass on the inside for security and to provide protection from balls and other objects used by pupils.
All the windows are openable at high level and feature tele-flex winding gear to allow the sashes to be opened from ground level using a removable handle.
